Is a round aquarium dangerous for fish?
Since 2006, round aquariums have been banned in Italy. Although to this day no evidence of this has been found. In addition, not only round aquariums received their resignation, but also aquariums and curved walls.
Germany went further. Not only round aquariums were banned, but also miniature ones. In fact, it’s really not worthwhile to buy too small aquariums for fish, as this will bring them inconvenience. In Norway, a minimum aquarium size of 60 liters has been introduced for beginners in the aquarium industry. In Britain, the minimum size of the aquarium for beginners was 10 liters. In Asia, nothing of the kind was introduced, on the contrary, miniature aquariums with tropical fish are very popular.
But in fact, the size and shape of the aquarium cannot play a decisive role - conditions for the fish as a whole are important for fish: good food, quality and temperature of the water, biofiltration. Of course, each fish should have enough space, air and water. But warm-water fish are too whimsical. So, some cannot be alone, others do not like the pack, others need special conditions. Therefore, before buying an aquarium and fish, consult with experts: what is acceptable for some fish can be dangerous for others.
